Applying with Rent The Roo is easy. You can apply online by adding a product to your cart and completing the application, or by selecting “Enquire Now” on our website. Prefer to speak with someone? Call us on 13 76 61 and talk to your local Rent The Roo team, who can help you get started.
To complete your application, we will ask you to provide: Proof of income, such as a Centrelink income statement or your three most recent payslips. Bank statements for the most recent three months, including any savings or other accounts. 100 points of ID. Four references, including their name, phone number and relationship to you. Permission to complete a credit check. We’ll let you know exactly what information and documents are required as part of your application.
You have the option to pick up your items if this service is available in your area. Alternatively, please let your local team know if you require delivery. Your Rent The Roo team will be happy to organise everything and have your items delivered straight to your door.
Rent The Roo provides products under a Consumer Lease Agreement, giving you access to the products you need with regular, affordable payments. Choose a rental term of 12, 18, 24 or 36 months, subject to approval. Make regular weekly or fortnightly payments by direct debit from your nominated bank account throughout your Consumer Lease Agreement. Rent The Roo remains the owner of the goods during the Consumer Lease Agreement. You do not own the goods and have no right or obligation to purchase them. Once your Consumer Lease finalises, you must either return the goods or, where eligible, re-rent the goods under a new Consumer Lease Agreement (subject to normal lending criteria). Separately, Rent The Roo may have second-hand goods available for purchase.
A re-rent allows you to continue renting the same item after your current Consumer Lease Agreement finalises. A re-rent is a new Consumer Lease Agreement, so you will need to reapply and complete a new financial and credit assessment. Because the item is no longer brand new, your rental payments will be lower than they were under your previous Consumer Lease Agreement.
