Once your Consumer Lease finalizes you must either return the goods or, where eligible, Re-Rent the goods under a new Consumer Lease Agreement (subject to normal lending criteria). Separately, Rent The Roo may have second-hand goods available for purchase.

Rent The Roo offers flexible rental terms of 12, 18, 24 or 36 months, giving you options to choose a rental period that suits your needs, goals and budget.

You can only allocate up to 10% of your total income to consumer leases (rentals). This requirement has applied since 12 June 2023 and is regulated by ASIC. When you apply, we’ll assess your financial situation and budget to make sure the rental amount is affordable for you.

Our brand-new products come with a manufacturer’s warranty. If there’s a problem with your item that is covered by the warranty, contact Rent The Roo and we’ll help arrange the repair or service. If an item is accidentally damaged or broken, please let us know as soon as possible. We’ll assess the damage and talk you through what happens next, including whether the item can be repaired or needs to be replaced. If the damage is beyond reasonable wear and tear, you may be responsible for costs associated with the damage in accordance with your Consumer Lease Agreement.

Our offices are open Monday to Friday and deliveries will only be organized for these days.

Rental payments are made by direct debit from your nominated bank account.

All applicants need to complete our 100-point ID check before entering into a Consumer Lease Agreement with Rent The Roo. If you want a brand-new item, that’s what we’ll provide. Your product will be supplied brand new in the box. We may also have quality used items available at a lower rental rate. Choosing a used item is completely up to you. We’ll always let you know if an item is used, and it will be checked to make sure it is in good working order before it is supplied.
